Frequently Asked Questions

You may have questions about the second opinion process. In this section I have answered the most common questions. Get in touch for more.
1Why is it important to get a second opinion?
Medical decisions sometimes directly affect quality of life. An alternative assessment may reveal different treatment options or details that were missing in the diagnosis.
2For which situations can I get a second opinion?
You can request a second opinion for diagnosed diseases, proposed surgical interventions, unclear laboratory results or uncertain treatment plans.
3How do I submit my report and results?
You can upload the relevant documents via the form on the page or contact us directly to learn about alternative shipping methods.
4How long does it take for a second opinion?
Once your application and documents have been reviewed, you will usually hear back within 1-3 working days. Depending on the situation, this may take longer.
5Do face-to-face interviews take place?
Initially, the assessment is done online. If necessary, we can invite you to the practice for a face-to-face meeting.
6Will the information I share remain confidential?
Yes. All your information is kept confidential within the scope of KVKK and is only used for medical evaluation purposes.
7Will getting a second opinion affect my current treatment process?
No. The second opinion is only intended to provide you with more information. The final decision depends entirely on you and your communication with your current doctor.
8Which documents should I send?
Reports on your diagnosis, imaging results (such as USG, MRI, CT), blood tests and all documents related to the course of the treatment plan recommended by your current doctor can be part of the evaluation.
9Do I need an appointment for a second opinion?
No. In the first instance, it is sufficient to apply via the online form. If necessary, we will refer you for a face-to-face interview.
